Do people think before they create advertisement?

Sitting at lunch, reading the company magazine. They want us to sell USB sticks so they have an ad in it for colored USB sticks. Picture has a tween girl sitting at a computer. Now the kicker! The colors; fearless red, aqua blue, ... Lolita. Excuse me, did any one stop to think about this?
